The aim of this offering, which will be taught by leading fintech lawyer Charles Kerrigan, is to explain smart contracts in plain English, making the subject approachable for people who may not have a strong grasp of contract law. This course should also be accessible for the many people in the crypto community who do not have English as their mother tongue and thus may not know some of the more specialized vocabulary used in legal and technical circles.
“We strongly believe that cryptocurrency and the blockchain is for everyone,” said Cointelligence Academy CEO On Yavin. “It’s been our goal to make it easy for anyone to get the education they need to engage with this industry. We’re excited to be working with Mr. Kerrigan of international law firm CMS to teach people about smart contracts.”
Cointelligence Academy currently provides free courses covering the basics of cryptocurrency and blockchain technology, as well as premium courses covering more advanced concepts.
“Legal concepts can be intimidating for non-lawyers,” said CMS’s Charles Kerrigan, who will be teaching the class. “A lot of people know that smart contracts are an important function of the blockchain, but they don’t necessarily know what that means. My goal with this course is to help people understand how smart contracts, and contracts, work.”
The introductory lesson of this course will be available for $35 for a limited time, prior to the later launch of a full-length course for $999.
