DECENT (DCT)

Decent is a blockchain based content distribution network. It was developed to permit the exchange of digital content, including text, audio, video, software, and video games. DECENT also allows users to create applications on top of the network's protocol. A modified version of the BitTorrent protocol is used to allow users to download the content published by others on Decent's network. Decent is also a decentralized application (dApp) that relies on a hybrid Proof-of-Work (PoW)/Proof-of-Custody (PoC) algorithm. The Proof-of-Custody algorithm relies on a special process that allows publishers to prove that they are the copyright owners of published content via zero knowledge proofs.
